Responsibilities
- Design, test, and implement advanced prompt engineering strategies for large language models (LLMs)
- Develop and maintain robust prompt libraries with version control and documentation
- Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune model behaviors through iterative prompt optimization
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of different prompt architectures
- Create comprehensive prompt engineering guidelines and best practices for cross-functional teams
- Research and integrate emerging prompt engineering techniques from academic papers and industry breakthroughs
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt design principles and ethical AI implementation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience with production LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
- Expertise in natural language processing, machine learning fundamentals, and transformer architectures
- Proven track record of developing complex prompt workflows for enterprise applications
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to diagnose and resolve AI performance issues
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects with measurable impact
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
