Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of venue operations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including local contractors, government liaisons, and international stakeholders, to foster seamless collaboration.
- Identify and mitigate risks across the project lifecycle, developing robust contingency plans for potential logistical challenges.
- Oversee quality assurance protocols to guarantee that all infrastructure meets FIFA standards and international safety regulations.
- Direct vendor and stakeholder negotiations, maintaining strong relationships to secure optimal service agreements.
- Provide high-level reporting to executive leadership, translating complex project data into actionable insights.
- Champion sustainability initiatives within project planning to align with global environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within large-scale construction, event management, or the sports & entertainment industry.
- Proven experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and complex logistical operations.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish or French is a significant plus.
- Ability to travel extensively across the United States as required by the project schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
