Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructures including Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba networks
- Proactively monitor network performance using SolarWinds and PRTG to prevent outages
- Lead network security implementations (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) in compliance with NIST standards
- Document network architectures and troubleshoot Tier-3 issues across multi-site deployments
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premises networks with AWS/Azure environments
- Mentor junior technicians and conduct quarterly technology audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE certification required)
- 5+ years experience in enterprise network administration with complex routing/switching
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and multicast protocols
- Proven experience with network automation (Python/Ansible) and infrastructure-as-code
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) and cloud networking (AWS/Azure) proficiency
- Ability to manage high-stakes projects with SLA-driven deliverables
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
