Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless systems
- Monitor network performance using advanced tools like SolarWinds and Cisco DNA Center
- Implement security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect critical assets
- Troubleshoot complex network issues with minimal downtime in remote and on-site environments
- Collaborate with cloud teams to ensure seamless hybrid infrastructure integration
- Document network architecture and create detailed maintenance procedures
- Mentor junior technicians and lead network upgrade projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (CCNP/CCIE certification required)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista network hardware
- Expertise in OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and advanced routing protocols
- Strong background in network security (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN implementation)
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Valid Alaska driver's license for occasional site visits
