Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN infrastructures including Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet systems
- Implement and manage network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize network architectures with AWS/Azure environments
- Lead network upgrade projects including 10G/40G backbone implementations
- Document network topologies and create disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise network administration experience with Cisco/Juniper certification
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and advanced routing protocols
- Strong background in network security including Palo Alto and F5 technologies
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud)
- CCNP/JNCIP certification or equivalent industry-recognized credentials
- Proficiency in automation tools (Python, Ansible) for network provisioning
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Valid Hawaii driver's license for occasional client site visits
