Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize enterprise-level network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using advanced tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime
- Implement robust security protocols including VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and zero-trust architecture
- Lead network migrations and upgrades with zero downtime using Cisco Nexus and Meraki platforms
- Provide Tier-3 troubleshooting for complex network issues affecting critical business operations
- Document network topology, configurations, and SOPs using Visio and Confluence
- Mentor junior technicians and conduct regular network health assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise networking equipment
- CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP certification required
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN implementation
- Proven experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Ansible) for automation
- Experience with network virtualization (VMware NSX) and container orchestration
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations during critical outages
