As an Entry Level Engineer, you will work alongside our senior developers to design, develop, and test software applications. Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Code: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate in Agile Teams: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure project milestones are met.
- Debug and Troubleshoot: Identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues in existing applications.
- Database Management: Assist in designing and querying databases to ensure data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
- Implement UI/UX Features: Work with front-end frameworks to integrate user interface components with back-end services.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specs and system architecture diagrams.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to propose innovative solutions to team challenges.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Programming Basics: Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and at least one core language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and basic understanding of SQL and Linux environments.
- Soft Skills: A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong team-player mindset.
- Relocation: Ability to work on-site in Kansas City, MO.
