Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Implement network security protocols and monitor for vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using diagnostic tools and protocols
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with cloud services integration teams for hybrid solutions
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical infrastructure incidents
- Train junior technicians on network best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNP or equivalent network certification required
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Experience with VMware and cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in server environments
- Valid Alaska driver's license and clean driving record
