Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco and Juniper hardware
- Lead network optimization projects reducing latency by 30% across 50+ access points
- Conduct 24/7 proactive monitoring via SolarWinds and troubleshoot complex routing issues
- Develop disaster recovery plans with RTO/RPO standards under 4-hour thresholds
- Mentor junior technicians through formal certification pathways (CCNP/JNCIP)
- Coordinate with cloud teams on hybrid architecture deployments (AWS/Azure)
- Document network topologies using Visio and maintain ISO 27001 compliance records
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with Cisco routers/switches and BGP/OSPF protocols
- CCNP or JNCIP certification required (CCIE/JNCIE preferred)
- Proficiency in Python for network automation and Ansible for configuration management
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Fortinet VPN solutions
- Strong background in Wi-Fi 6E implementation and RF optimization
- Knowledge of network forensics tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certifications
- Austin-based candidates with local NOC experience preferred
