Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize Cisco/Juniper network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and Wireshark to proactively identify issues
- Implement security protocols (VPN, ACLs, IDS/IPS) to prevent cyber threats
- Document network configurations using Visio and network management tools
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network solutions (AWS/Azure integration)
- Lead network upgrade projects and vendor management
- Provide 24/7 on-call support during critical incidents
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise network administration experience
- CCNP/JNCIP certification required (CCIE/JNCIE preferred)
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN technologies
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela/Palo Alto Prisma)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Valid NJ driver's license for occasional client site visits
