Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Lead incident response for security breaches including forensics and mitigation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell for threat hunting
- Maintain compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Mentor junior analysts and document security procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for secure pipeline implementation
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in threat detection/response
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification (required)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Strong understanding of zero-trust architecture
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
