Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN networks using Cisco and Juniper technologies
- Diagnose and resolve network outages with rapid response SLA adherence
- Configure and optimize VPN, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems
- Implement network security protocols and compliance standards (PCI, HIPAA)
- Document network infrastructure using Visio and network monitoring tools
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid cloud architecture integration
- Mentor junior technicians and conduct regular network health assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of enterprise network administration experience
- Cisco CCNP/Juniper JNCIP certification required
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and multicast routing protocols
- Strong knowledge of VMware, AWS, and Azure networking services
- Experience with Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds monitoring tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site visits
