Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime to proactively identify issues
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including VLAN segmentation, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and disaster recovery planning
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for complex network outages and performance bottlenecks
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and security audits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise networking equipment
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent industry certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and advanced routing protocols
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues using Wireshark and network analyzers
- Excellent communication skills for documenting procedures and training staff
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
