The Role
As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will be the guardian of our digital ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and oversee our Security Operations Center (SOC) activities.
Responsibilities
- Threat Hunting & Incident Response: Proactively identify, investigate, and respond to advanced cyber threats and security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence.
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain a secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 through regular audits and risk assessments.
- Penetration Testing: Collaborate with red teams to simulate cyberattacks and identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them.
- Vulnerability Management: Lead the remediation process for identified security flaws across all corporate assets.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security policies and phishing prevention.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ is required; GCIH or OSCP preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in information security, network security, or a related technical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm), endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and cloud security principles (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
