Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and alert triage
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement network segmentation and firewall configurations to prevent breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys tools
- Develop playbooks for common cyber threats (ransomware, phishing, DDoS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security drills and simulations
- Stay current with MITRE ATT&CK framework and emerging threat vectors
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations background
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Strong understanding of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent written communication for client-facing reports
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred but not required
