Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight framework using trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints translating futuristic concepts into MVP prototypes
- Author annual 'Future State' whitepapers for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic labs and emerging tech incubators
- Quantify future market opportunities using predictive modeling and risk assessment
- Mentor junior futurists in methodologies like Delphi panels and weak signal detection
- Present future scenarios to investors and industry conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record developing 5+ year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, synthetic biology, quantum computing, or neurotech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Foresight methodologies (e.g., CFrA) preferred
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience with scenario planning tools like Kumu.io or Trendalyzer
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-to-market implementations
