Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify and analyze emerging technologies with transformative potential through 2026+
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with corporate vision and market disruption forecasts
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to incubate breakthrough ideas and prototype future solutions
- Present strategic foresight findings to executive stakeholders and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and think tanks to capture bleeding-edge innovations
- Monitor geopolitical and socioeconomic trends to anticipate their impact on technology adoption and business strategy
- Quantify innovation ROI and develop KPIs for measuring long-term strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist roles with Fortune 500/tech scale companies
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Futures Studies, Engineering, or Business with specialization in innovation
- Deep expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, or sustainable infrastructure
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercialized products or business models
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategic insights
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills to influence executive decision-making
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists) preferred
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and horizon scanning methodologies
