Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Innovation Vision Framework with quarterly horizon-scanning updates
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for C-suite executives on socio-technological disruption
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-state concepts and validate market readiness
- Author strategic whitepapers on emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, bio-integration)
- Establish KPIs for future-readiness across 15+ business units
- Represent Horizon at global futurist forums and industry summits
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record translating future trends into commercial products/services
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption (peer-reviewed journals)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrix organizations
- Certification in Futures or Innovation Management preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-state commercialization successes
