Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-year technology foresight framework focusing on 2026+ innovations
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, AR/VR, biotech) for market viability and competitive advantage
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into product roadmaps
- Produce strategic whitepapers and thought leadership for industry conferences
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify disruptive startups for acquisition/partnerships
- Mentor junior futurists and establish innovation KPIs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or futurist roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI ethics, neurotech)
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Experience building tech roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Certification in Futures Research (e.g., CFTR) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation initiatives
