Responsibilities
- Design and implement core components of equity options trading platforms using C++ and Python
- Optimize low-latency execution systems handling high-frequency derivatives transactions
- Develop risk management models for complex option pricing and hedging strategies
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to translate financial models into production code
- Ensure system reliability through rigorous testing, monitoring, and incident response
- Lead technical initiatives for regulatory compliance (SEC, FINRA) in derivatives trading
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in software architecture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in high-performance financial systems or low-latency trading
- Expert proficiency in C++ and Python with strong understanding of multithreading
- Deep knowledge of equity options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial Trees)
- Experience with Linux kernel tuning and network optimization for trading systems
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and exchange connectivity for derivatives markets
- Proven track record of shipping mission-critical financial software
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to debug complex distributed systems
