Responsibilities
- Analyze high-volume equity options order flow and market data to identify trends, anomalies, and inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and cleaning processes.
- Design interactive visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI to present key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior traders.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to refine risk management models and hedging strategies based on data insights.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all trading systems and reporting tools.
- Monitor market volatility and news events to predict their impact on option pricing and liquidity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services, equities, or options trading sectors.
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of equity options mechanics, greeks, and market microstructure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift) is a plus.
