Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets related to equity options, including open interest, volume, implied volatility, and Greeks, to identify market trends and trading opportunities.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize complex financial data for stakeholders in Indianapolis, IN and Virginia.
- Collaborate with the quantitative research team to develop and refine pricing models for equity derivatives.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting systems through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Write complex SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and reporting workflows.
- Produce detailed weekly and monthly reports summarizing market performance and risk exposure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equity derivatives sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Deep understanding of equity options concepts, including calls, puts, straddles, and spreads.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
