Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze vast datasets related to equity options pricing, volume, and open interest to identify market trends and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and reporting processes.
- Partner with traders to provide real-time insights and predictive modeling for option strategies.
- Ensure data integrity across all trading platforms and databases.
- Create intuitive visualizations and dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) for executive and trading floor presentations.
- Conduct deep-dive research into market volatility and implied volatility surface changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, equities, or options trading sector.
- Expert proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of options theory, Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega), and market mechanics.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical data into business value.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
