Responsibilities
- Data Processing: Collect, clean, and validate high-volume equity options data from various exchanges and market feeds to ensure accuracy for trading models.
- Analytics & Modeling: Develop and maintain statistical models to analyze option pricing, volatility surfaces, and greeks to support risk management strategies.
- Visualization: Build interactive dashboards (using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) to visualize market trends and performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing market movements and risk exposures to senior leadership.
- Collaboration: Partner with traders and quantitative researchers to identify data gaps and optimize data pipelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equity derivatives sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Querying and Optimization), Python (Pandas, NumPy), and Excel. Experience with APIs (REST/JSON) is a plus.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of options pricing theory (Black-Scholes, binomial models) and market terminology.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful conclusions.
