Responsibilities
- Analyze Options Data: Process and analyze vast datasets of equity options and derivatives to identify market trends, volatility patterns, and arbitrage opportunities.
- Risk Modeling: Develop and maintain quantitative models to assess and mitigate risk associated with option trading strategies.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and deploy interactive dashboards (using Power BI or Tableau) to provide real-time visibility into portfolio performance and market analytics.
- Statistical Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with traders and portfolio managers to refine data requirements and improve trading algorithms.
- SQL Optimization: Optimize database queries and data pipelines to ensure high-speed data retrieval for analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial data analysis, specifically within equity options or derivatives.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), and visualization tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of options pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes), Greeks, and market mechanics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our Dallas, TX office.
