The Role
As an Equity Options Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end analysis of equity derivatives data. You will build robust data pipelines, create visualizations that drive decision-making, and collaborate with quantitative researchers to refine our risk models.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and structure massive datasets from various market sources, including exchange feeds and OTC markets.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to track options flow, open interest, and implied volatility.
- Perform deep-dive statistical analysis on options pricing models and identify market anomalies.
- Collaborate with traders and risk management teams to translate complex data into clear, concise business insights.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure data compliance standards are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equity derivatives sector.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data extraction.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Experience using financial data terminals (Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of options trading strategies, Greeks, and market mechanics.
