Responsibilities
- Market Data Analysis: Extract and synthesize vast datasets from equity options exchanges (CBOE, NYSE, NASDAQ) to identify emerging market trends and arbitrage opportunities.
- Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain interactive, real-time dashboards using Tableau and PowerBI to visualize open interest, delta hedging, and implied volatility surfaces.
- Data Integrity: Perform deep-dive data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure the accuracy of derivatives pricing models and risk management systems.
- Quantitative Support: Collaborate with quantitative researchers to stress-test trading algorithms against historical and live market data.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive weekly reports for senior stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, anomalies, and strategic insights.
- Process Optimization: Streamline data pipelines and automate routine reporting tasks to improve team efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the options trading, hedge fund, or investment banking sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data extraction; strong programming skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
- Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial) and general market mechanics.
- Tools: Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, FIX Protocol, or similar financial data terminals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
