The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end analysis of equity options data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. You will collaborate closely with quantitative traders and risk officers to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in the options market.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets of equity option chains, pricing models, and implied volatility surfaces to identify market inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain automated Python scripts to ingest and process real-time market data from multiple sources.
- Create advanced visualizations and interactive dashboards (using Tableau or PowerBI) to present complex data findings to the trading desk.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to develop stress-testing scenarios and hedge strategy simulations.
- Ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory standards in all financial reporting.
- Conduct statistical modeling to forecast market movements and option price behavior.
- Document data pipelines and analytical methodologies to support team scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, financial modeling, or options trading environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL for data manipulation.
- Deep understanding of options pricing theories (Black-Scholes, Binomial models) and market mechanics.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters Eikon, or similar financial data terminals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
