We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our San Jose team and play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy.
The Role:
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will own the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, from data extraction and modeling to the creation of executive dashboards that inform key business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain complex data models and databases to support business intelligence requirements.
- Perform deep-dive analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Develop compelling, interactive visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and scripts to extract and manipulate large datasets efficiently.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for executive leadership and non-technical audiences.
- Identify data quality issues and implement strategies to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and scripting languages (Python or R).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in the San Jose tech ecosystem is a plus.
