Are you a storyteller with data? Apex Analytics is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Detroit, MI. We are a fully remote-first company, but this role is specifically for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Detroit metro area to collaborate with our local leadership team.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex data sets and actionable business insights. You will own the end-to-end data analysis lifecycle, from gathering requirements to delivering compelling visualizations that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Transform Data into Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key business problems and translate them into data-driven questions.
- SQL & Data Mining: Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets using SQL and Python to ensure data integrity for analysis.
- Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI to visualize trends and performance metrics.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning and risk assessment.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current reporting processes and implement automated solutions to increase efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management: Present complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python (Pandas, NumPy), and a visualization tool (Tableau or PowerBI).
- Mathematical Aptitude: Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and data modeling.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into business value.
- Tools: Experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) is a plus.
