Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Processing: Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- SQL & Database Management: Write complex SQL queries to extract data and maintain database schemas for reporting purposes.
- Visual Analytics: Develop compelling dashboards and visual reports using Tableau or PowerBI to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve business problems and predict market trends.
- Business Reporting: Create monthly and quarterly performance reports that guide executive decision-making and strategic planning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product and marketing teams to define metrics and analyze campaign performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in data collection and propose automated solutions to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the tech or finance sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Visualization: Strong experience creating dashboards in Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical data into clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for non-technical audiences.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate to the Boston, MA area with assistance provided.
