Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large, complex datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and Python scripts to extract key business metrics.
- Create interactive, visually compelling dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize data trends for stakeholders.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics.
- Present findings and actionable insights to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
- Automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual data entry errors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake) and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Expert-level knowledge of data visualization tools, specifically Tableau or Power BI.
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis methods, A/B testing, and forecasting models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into business value.
- Experience working in the Boston area or a fast-paced technology environment is a plus.
