Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI to visualize KPIs for executive stakeholders
- Perform statistical analysis to identify market trends in Virginia's tourism and logistics sectors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical frameworks
- Present findings to C-suite executives through compelling data narratives and visualizations
- Maintain data quality standards through automated testing and documentation
- Lead ad-hoc analysis projects supporting marketing campaigns and operational efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis with proven portfolio of complex projects
- Expert proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) with experience in ETL processes
- Advanced visualization skills using Tableau or Power BI with dashboard creation experience
- Strong statistical knowledge (regression, hypothesis testing, time-series analysis)
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery) and data modeling
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines
