Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security appliances to protect corporate assets.
- Develop and enforce robust security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic investigations and post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for security automation and tool development.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
