Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and manage SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks to ensure rapid recovery from security breaches.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to implement secure cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Automate security workflows using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide security training and guidance to cross-functional teams and junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, network protocols, and security frameworks.
- Experience with Linux/Windows system administration and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with excellent communication skills.
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and infrastructure as code.
