Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Security Architecture: Design and deploy secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses before attackers do.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC 2.
- Identity & Access Management: Manage IAM policies, MFA implementations, and privilege access reviews.
- Incident Forensics: Perform root cause analysis on security breaches to improve future defenses.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network security engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting; familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Remote Work: Self-motivated individual capable of managing time effectively in a distributed team.
