Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures to protect company assets from unauthorized access.
- Conduct daily threat analysis and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks before they escalate.
- Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with external stakeholders during security breaches.
- Manage and monitor security tools, SIEM platforms, and automated response systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations, including SOX and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
- Conduct regular security training and awareness sessions for staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical teams.
- Proactive attitude towards staying updated on the latest cyber threats and defense mechanisms.
