Responsibilities
- Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive security architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to security breaches, conducting forensic analysis and implementing remediation strategies.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee regular penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments to identify and patch security gaps.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS through regular audits and policy enforcement.
- Security Operations: Monitor security dashboards (SIEM) 24/7 to detect anomalies and coordinate with engineering teams for rapid resolution.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on best practices and emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering or information security analysis.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, Splunk Enterprise Security), SIEM, and endpoint detection platforms.
- Cloud Security: Strong background in securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Programming: Ability to write scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate security tasks and investigations.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
