Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, or Palo Alto Networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
