Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate remediation efforts for security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and compliance reports
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to detect potential threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into DevOps pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or security operations
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required)
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple security projects simultaneously
