Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on equity options trading platforms and high-frequency trading (HFT) systems.
- Implement and manage next-generation firewalls, SIEM solutions, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents 24/7 to prevent data breaches and financial fraud.
- Develop and maintain security policies and compliance frameworks, specifically SOC 2 and GDPR for financial data.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Lead incident response planning and tabletop exercises for potential cyber-attacks on trading infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically within the financial services or fintech sector.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, Linux administration, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance or pass a financial background check.
