The Role:
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will lead our defense operations, designing robust security architectures and responding to complex threats. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to embed security into every layer of our stack.
Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, utilizing SIEM tools to monitor for anomalies and breaches in real-time.
- Architecture Design: Design, implement, and maintain scalable security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments to identify and patch security gaps proactively.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC2) and regulatory requirements, managing audit trails and documentation.
- Cloud Security: Implement and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure), focusing on IAM, encryption, and network segmentation.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing mitigation.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CSSLP are strongly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, incident response, or a related role.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, Linux, and Windows Server administration.
- Tools: Deep knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic), IDS (Snort/Suricata), and endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Cloud: Strong understanding of cloud security models (NIST) and experience with AWS or Azure security services.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
