Role Overview:
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure environment. You will work closely with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security architectures and defense-in-depth strategies.
- Conduct thorough penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security code reviews.
- Oversee incident response plans and lead investigations into security breaches.
- Manage and optimize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions for real-time monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security controls into cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
