Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts, investigate potential breaches, and orchestrate incident response plans to minimize downtime.
- Security Architecture: Design and deploy advanced security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all security measures align with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Cloud Security: Implement and maintain secure configurations for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Security Awareness: Train and educate staff on security best practices to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel), Python scripting, and network security concepts.
- Tools: Experience with firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and identity management solutions.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced team, and a proactive mindset.
