Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security architectures including zero-trust networks and cloud security postures
- Lead incident response operations for sophisticated cyber threats using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across hybrid environments
- Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline security monitoring and threat hunting
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Mentor junior engineers through peer reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering with focus on threat detection and mitigation
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
