Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response for sophisticated cyber attacks including APTs and ransomware
- Develop zero-trust security frameworks and cloud security postures
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for critical infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers and drive security awareness across the organization
- Collaborate with CISOs to design enterprise-wide security roadmaps
- Stay ahead of emerging threats through continuous threat hunting and research
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in hands-on engineering roles
- Certified CISSP, CISM, or OSCP required (CEH/GCIE strongly preferred)
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security, network segmentation, and identity management
- Proven experience responding to major security incidents (Ransomware, DDoS)
- Deep knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (must be eligible)
