Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced network security architectures across hybrid cloud environments
- Lead incident response operations for critical infrastructure threats
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on enterprise systems
- Develop security automation frameworks using Python and Ansible
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks
- Mentor junior engineers through technical workshops and code reviews
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering with cloud security experience
- Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, or CEH (required), AWS/Azure Security Specialty (preferred)
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Strong background in zero-trust architecture implementation
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
