Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to breaches in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and technical controls to protect sensitive data.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST CSF.
- Manage third-party risk assessments and vendor security reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security (Kubernetes/Docker).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on immediate resolution.
