Responsibilities
- Lead and manage 24/7 threat monitoring and incident response efforts using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
- Design and implement security architectures that align with industry best practices (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Monitor global threat intelligence feeds to proactively defend against emerging cyber threats.
- Lead security training programs to foster a security-first culture across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM required; GCIH or CRISC a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems.
- Scripting: Strong ability to write and automate scripts in Python or Bash.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
- Flexibility: Ability to work irregular hours during security incidents or system patches.
