Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM and EDR tools
- Lead incident response protocols for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS regulations
- Present security posture reports to C-level executives and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security engineering
- CISSP, CEH, or OSCP certification required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security services and network architecture
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Burp Suite
- Strong knowledge of zero-trust frameworks and identity management
- Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
